13.05.2007 Advanced training and certification for IT staff in companies and administrations
LinuxTag 2007 in Berlin provides IT specialists with a wide range of seminars, workshops and examinations. The leading European event for Linux and free software is an approved training event and its advanced training programme is intended for advanced Linux and Unix users in business, science and public administration.
07.05.2007 LinuxTag Launches E-Ticket Program
As last year, the LinuxTag association in cooperation with Messe Berlin is using the eTicket program to allow members of the community to visit LinuxTag 2007 free of charge. Over 200 key figures in the free software scene have already received their tickets and can pass on more. In all, several thousand tickets to the exposition and conference will be distributed.
07.05.2007 Joint Career Lounge at IT Profits and LinuxTag, May 30 through June 2, under the Funkturm
LinuxTag, Europe's leading OSS event, and the IT users' fair IT Profits have teamed up, in cooperation with the State of Berlin's Projekt Zukunft, to present the Career Lounge for technical and managerial experts in the IT field. From May 30 through June 2 at the Berlin convention halls under the Funkturm, software manufacturers, system suppliers and other employers will be able to introduce themselves and talk directly with young people entering the field.
28.03.2007 LinuxTag 2007 with more than 200 talks under the Berlin Funkturm
Now that LinuxTag has relocated to Berlin, the convention programme for Europe’s largest Linux event has been expanded to include some 200 technical papers. Initial details about the salient features and themes of the four-day convention programme were announced on Wednesday by the two organizers, LinuxTag e.V. and Messe Berlin. The partners emphasised their intention of establishing LinuxTag on a long-term basis in the German capital.

The 3rd Open Music Contest organized by the General Students Committee of the University of Marburg points out new ways of copyright usage for the consumers. Similar to Open Source consumers are granted more rights, for example the right to copy, edit and to share music.
