Trawler HSM - An alternative approach to SSD caching
von Hannes Reinecke (Opensuse)
Thursday, 24.05.2012, London, 17:00-18:00 Uhr
Trawler HSM is a new approach to SSD caching. Traditionally, a block-based caching algorithms is used when employing an SSD for achieving better performance. In this talk I'll be presenting a new approach by using a hierarchical storage management system, moving files between two individual filesystems. I'll also give a short demo of the capabilities of this system.
